With her latest single GLOBAL Hopkins Miranda seeks to overcome differences like culture, language, religious beliefs, gender and age that typically divide us. In her view we're all Earth citizens sharing similar experiences: love, hate, joy, pain, peace, war, life, death, hurricanes, sunsets, volcanoes, shooting stars, tornados, raindrops, tsunamis, waterfalls… Whatever happens in one part of the world affects us all. Being human is undoubtedly a GLOBAL experience. GLOBAL is the sound of unity and LOVE. Having grown up with the sounds that encompass Puerto Rican and Caribbean music, Brenda remains in a constant quest to expand her sound by adding blues, funk, soul, jazz, classical, rock, electronic, psychodelia and all sorts of multicultural influences. A diverse group of artists like GoGo Penguin, Avishai Cohen, Nik Bärtsch, Radiohead, Melody Gardot and Robert Plant daily inspire her on this quest.
